Bagan Markets

We had great time checking out more markets in Bagan. Again we were seeing strange foods with interesting odors. :) Due to dry weather in this region, only about 20 inches of rain annually, farmers primarily grow peanuts and sesame seeds. Palm trees have many uses especially for their leaves. These are used for roofing on bamboo homes. Shop owners greet us with "mingalabay" which means "hello" as well as many smiles as we strolled through the market.
