Sikh Temple Bangladesh Sahib Gurudwara

Unusual experience visiting a famous Sikh Temple. We were required to wear scarves (looked like biker bandanas) as well as wash our feet and hands before entering. Huge crowd of Sikhs but very few tourists. This weather is keeping many crazy tourists from venturing out, but not us! Several people were bathing in the fountains which is supposed to be healing and cleansing for the soul. Link for a few facts: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gurudwara_Bangla_Sahib

As we walked out Sikhs were handing out a food item (looked like brown paste) that is part of a ritual. We declined, but our guide decided to partake.
