Ranthambore National Park

We did our best to capture as much of the wildlife in the park as possible. I have included a short video clip of our encounter with one of the tigers. I must say I was feeling pretty bold being the OCD germaphobe sissy girl that I am.
Female Tiger attempting to cool down in a small pond
Javelina (Peccary family)  Nasty little creatures
Rough terrain for our safari
Langurs also referred to as black-faced monkeys
Other safari tourists - so glad we had a private jeep!
Female tiger totally ignoring us.  It was a terribly cool experience.
Sunset at Ranthambore Tiger Reserve
Wildlife living in harmony - just like in the movie Bambie
 Banyan trees figure prominently in religions and myths, in Hinduism the leaf of the banyan tree is said to be the resting place for the God Krishna.  This tree is the national tree of India - estimated to be close to 200 - 250 years old.
Male tiger just hanging out
Our guide, "Dave" spending quality time with Flat Falcon.
Male peacock struttin' his stuff for an uninterested  female peacock.  All this flash, and he was still a loser!
Preening for the photographers
Local bird harassing us for food.  Our guide informed us that too many tourists feed these emboldened creatures.
Parakeets endemic to Indian Subcontinent
Our guide and driver taking a small break - living the dream. :}
