Delhi City Touring

We began our day by visiting the India Gate and Parliament buildings. The architecture is impressive and our photos show a few highlights. Their security prevented us from getting close which is quite understandable as it is for our government buildings in Washington DC. Next, on to Humayun's Tomb. This was commissioned to be built for the great Mughal Emperor Humayun by his wife in 1569. Gorgeous! We were required to wear robes covering our bodies following Muslim law. Not a good look. :) Check out this link for more information: http://asi.nic.in/asi_monu_whs_humayuntomb.asp
