Mandalay GoldLeaf Factory

Our first stop in Mandalay was at a GoldLeaf factory in the city. We had no idea how the process worked, but since goldleafing every temple and Buddah is the norm, it is a thriving and lucrative business. Every step is done by hand, and the work is labor intensive. Our photos show each step in the creation of GoldLeaf. Again, it was fortunate we had little money to spend because the end product is gorgeous!
