Travel from Yangon to India
We spent most of the day traveling by air from Yangon to India by way of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The airport was very nice, and the best part - it had a Burger King. Mary Beth and I feasted on American French fries and soda fountain pop with ice! It was extremely yummy. We had just enough time to rest a few minutes before boarding for our next flight, so we decided to browse around. I was thrilled to find that Malaysia loves Hershey Chocolate! I had just enough time to purchase a bag of kiss(ers) with almonds before our departure for only 37 Malaysian Ringgets. After handling Thai Bahts and Burmese Kyats it seemed that 37 Ringgets seemed like a fair price for delicious chocolate. Much to my chagrin, after racing to the boarding gate clutching my Kisses I discovered the conversion rate for dollars and Ringgets. I just purchased a 9 oz bag of Hershey Kisses for $10! After consuming a few pieces I determined that the cost was well worth it. :) The airport was quite nice including a garden area with enormous trees and tropical plant life. We soon boarded the plane surrounded by an interesting cast of characters, and I must refrain from providing any more details in my blog in order to maintain a sense of decorum.
